Hip hop + Indie = True
My favourite radio show P3Pop was last Monday about the influence of Hip Hop, Soul and modern Rnb on indie in recent years, Swedish indie in particular, including Peter Morén and the brilliant Jenny Wilson. Even if you cant speak Swedish, listen to the music and read the songs listing, available if you click on "musiken i programmet". Scroll down to find the show from last Monday.

Peter Morén in Swedish
Peter Morén from Peter Bjorn and John will soon release his new album "I spåren av tåren" (probably referring to the classic soul song "The tracks of my tears")which is the first time Peter tries his luck with using his mother tongue Swedish! As hinted by the name of the album soul is one of many influences on this album and the song "Ett land som inte är" is already a personal favourite.
Here is a video from "bibliotekspop" a couple of years ago with Peter Morén performing live at the Stockholm city library (!).
